大阪・北浜の伝統ある「薬の街」道修町（どしょうまち）に位置するSOHO BOX 北浜は、今年で17年目を迎えました。
この場所には、ビジネスの拠点としてだけでなく、世界中から多くの旅人たちが「手荷物預かりサービス」を求めて訪れます。

これまでお預かりした中で、最も遠い国から来られたのは南米のペルーのお客様でした。
その時、ペルー人男性と一緒に来られたのは、コロンビア出身の女性。
お話を伺うとなんと、お二人はお付き合いされているとのこと！
The traveler from the farthest country we have ever served came all the way from Peru, South America.
He was accompanied by a woman from Colombia.
To my surprise, I learned that the two of them were a couple!
たとえ地図上では隣国同士といっても、南米大陸の距離は相当に離れています。
どのような経緯で知り合い、この大阪・北浜の地に辿り着いたのか……。
詳しい理由は聞きませんでしたが、仲睦まじいお二人の姿を見て「世界は本当に広く、そして縁とは不思議で素晴らしいものだ」と深く感動した記憶があります。
これこそが、私が大切にしている「一期一会」の瞬間です。
Even though Peru and Colombia are neighbors, the distances within the South American continent are vast.
I didn’t ask how they met or how they ended up here in Kitahama, Osaka, but seeing them together made me realize once again how vast the world is and how wonderful human connections can be.
This is exactly what we call "Ichigo Ichie" (a once-in-a-lifetime encounter).
